Objectives of the Practice

With the growing environmental concerns and the urgent need for sustainable development, the institution has taken steps to implement green practices. The key objectives include:

  • Promoting an eco-friendly campus with sustainable environmental practices.

  • Encouraging students and faculty to adopt green habits in daily life.

  • Reducing carbon footprint through energy conservation and waste management.

  • Enhancing biodiversity and green cover within the campus.

  • Integrating environmental awareness into academic and extracurricular activities.

The Context

Recognizing the adverse effects of pollution, deforestation, and climate change, Government Degree College, Cheepurupalli has undertaken various green initiatives to:

  • Reduce dependency on non-renewable resources by adopting sustainable energy solutions.

  • Implement waste management strategies to promote recycling and reduce landfill waste.

  • Increase awareness among students regarding the importance of environmental conservation.

  • Improve the campus ecosystem through tree plantations and eco-friendly policies.

The Practice

The college has actively engaged in green practices through the following initiatives:
